Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs
We looked through the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs
website there is no question in regards to their mission:
"The Historic Vehicle Research Institute is an international
partnership of the people and organisations that aims to promote and
protect our motoring heritage through research and FBHVC is one of the
very active partners. By researching the knowledge and skills that
designed and made the vehicles we now regard as historic and by
understanding how they continue to be bought, sold, repaired and just
plain enjoyed, FBHVC is well armed to combat threats from legislation
and to speak with authority in the international historic vehicle
movement."
Sounds like our kinda people! On the FBHVC website you'll find reports
on the Historic Vehicle Movement in Europe and the UK that covers the
economic activity, employment and stability that the classic car hobby
brings to the country, coupled with the number of cars and the miles
they drive. Great ammunition to blast politicians that grandstand on
car issues they are truly ignorant about.
The FBHVC produces six newsletters a year in which they keep members
updated to proposed legislation. "FBHVC actively seeks information
about legislative proposals that are likely to have an impact on the
historic vehicle community. When necessary it campaigns to influence
the decision making process to remove, or at least minimize, any
adverse results."
