Two Classic Cars are Sold at Record Price in UK
Two classic British cars has set new world records in Dorset Vintage and Classic Auctions Sale.
A
1959 Jaguar MK IX Auto achieved a world record sale of £ 25.300. A sum
of £ 60,000 was spent on the restoration of the vehicle.
In
the meantime, a 1989 400SE TVR Tasmin was sold for a record £ 8,140 at
the same event - which has experienced a rate of 75% of sales.
There
were other cars that attracted motor enthusiasts to the show among
those are the 1957 Austin-Healey 100 / 6, A Bentley Brooklands 1993 and
restored 1967 Volkswagen Kombi. A 1935 Mercedes-Benz Drophead Coupe -
which needed a complete restoration - also sold for £ 7,920 on the same
auction.
